EDUCATION

Welcome to the educational section of our website. This is the perfect place to learn about medical information disorder.

In this section, you are entering the educational part of our website: here, you can learn more about medical information disorder. In the other menu sections, you can find the interactive parts of our website: the quiz and our tips on how to recognize false medical information.

In short, we are going to explain the following topics about MID.

First of all, there are actually three different kinds of false medical information, this will be explained on the "what is MID?" page.

On the page “Why is it a problem?” the consequences of MID will be discussed.

MID has an impact on a lot of different stakeholders. You might have guessed that the medical field experiences the negative consequences of MID. But if we want to better understand or solve the problem, what fields are necessary to take into account? You can learn about this on the “what makes this problem so complex?” page.

In this project we were also very interested in what happens when we read false information and why we sometimes think it is true. If you want to know more about the psychological factors, we advise you to visit the “psychology behind MID” page.

How come false information travels so much faster than true information? You can find an explanation on the “The spread” page.

Last but not least: MID is a very complex problem that does not know an obvious solution. Despite this, we have thought about possible parts for a solution to the MID problem. This can be found on the “Solution?” page.

Let us know what you think about the website and if you found medical misinformation yourself through the contact form. We would love to (with your permission of course) share your thoughts and findings on the “Blog and news” page.
